Operation
About This Chapter
This chapter details power on, booting and power off of the VN-306T Digital Video Transmitter. For full
programming and operation information, refer to the VN-306T Software Manual, XX129-3X (where X is a
revision number between 0 and 9). The following sections provide information as follows:

Powering On the Transmitter
To power on the system:

With the transmitter setup as shown in Chapter 3, Installation , press the Power Switch (switch Q in
Figure 3-2 on page 6) to the ON position (“I” pressed in). The VN-306T then begins its boot routine.
IMPORTANT: Do not press any keyboard buttons at this time.
When the transmitter completes booting and the Main Screen is displayed, refer to the VN-306T Software
Manual, XX129-3X. The only visual evidence that the transmitter is up is by looking at the TX on the site
list.
Powering Off the Transmitter
To power off the system:

Turn off the VN-306T hardware by pressing the power switch on the side of the unit.
