Wiring the Unit
The V9312H housing is provided with two liquid-tight cable access fittings which allow routing of the video,
power and control cables to the inside of the housing. One fitting is a compression fitting; the other is a
conduit fitting, for use when conduit is used in an installation. A wiring diagram is provided in Figure 2 and on
the inside cover for reference.
1. Loosen the appropriate fittings and route the cables for video, input power, and control (if used) through
the fittings. See Figure 2.
2. Strip off approximately 1.5 inches (38 mm) of the outer cable covering. Remove approximately 0.25 in.
(6 mm) of insulation from the end of each conductor.
3. Connect the video, camera power, and lens cables (and control, if used) to the camera and lens.
4. Connect the input power wires to the proper terminals on the terminal board and tighten screws. Refer to
Figure 2, Wiring Diagram. Connect the branch ground wire to the ground lead with a wire nut. All wiring
should be in accordance with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70.
5. Pull the excess slack out of the wires and tighten the fitting nut(s).
6. Use sealing plugs or an all-weather silicone sealant to fill the empty space or hole if the wire bundle does
not completely fill the tightened fitting(s) or if only one fitting is used.
7. Close the cover and fasten the latch loop. Use a padlock (not supplied) to prevent unauthorized entry.
