Installation
Installing the V10AH
The V10AH Adjustable Mounting Head is intended for use on various light-duty mounts and as a standalone
adjustable mount when there is no room for a standard mount.
The V10AH has a 1/4-20 x 9/32-inch (0.7 cm) full threaded hole in its base. When being used on a light-duty
mount, simply screw the adjustable head onto the mount. For standalone installations, install a lag bolt of
appropriate length at the installation location and screw the adjustable head onto the bolt.
Install the camera onto the 1/4-inch (0.6 cm) threaded stud on the V10AH according to the mounting directions
in the instruction manual for the camera. Releasing the lever on the side of the head allows positioning of the
head. Move the lever into the locked position when camera positioning is complete.
Installing the V1000AH
The V1000AH consists of a circular base, a mounting platform, and a clamping piece which fits into the platform.
The clamp has a 1/4-20 threaded hole in its center. The three components of this head are held together by a
1/4-20 hex-head bolt with flat washer and lock washer. The bolt is removed from the head assembly to secure it
to the mount; the relationship of the base, clamp and platform should be noted for easier installation. The
V1000AH is intended for use with the V114WM. To attach the head to the mount, follow the procedure below.
1. Insert the bolt, with washers attached, upwards through the mounting hole in the mount.
2. While holding the bolt in place, position the adjustable head assembly (platform, clamp and base) over the
bolt and then turn the bolt several turns into the head. Refer to Figure 1.
3. Determine the approximate direction and angle that the camera is to face. Tighten the bolt finger tight
followed by an additional 1/2 turn to lock.
Caution: Further tightening could damage the unit. Overtightening is not necessary.
4. Attach the housing/camera to the V1000AH according to the instruction manual for the camera or housing
and complete all cable connections. Two mounting holes (0.281 in. diameter) are provided.
