Riding advice:
•
The VICI Off Road E-Scooter is for advanced riders with plenty of driving experience; it is not
suitable for beginners or riders who lack riding confidence.
•
Make sure you have plenty of practice/training and are confident before riding this scooter for the
first time.
•
Always keep both hands on the handlebars and both feet on the foot deck of scooter when riding.
•
This scooter has very powerful acceleration and high speeds compared to standard models.
Always start off in slowest speed setting and gradually build up speed gently if safe to do so.
•
Try to always gradually apply the brakes. Be aware that full emergency braking may cause
skidding or loss of balance. Always try to apply both front and rear brakes at the same time to
avoid skidding.
•
Do not turn sharply on your scooter, especially at speed.
•
Avoid accelerating fast down hills and when turning.
•
Be aware of braking distances; faster speeds and slippery riding surfaces will increase braking
distances.
•
Before a long ride we strongly recommend testing braking distances in a safe riding area with no
traffic, people or obstacles.
•
Always be aware of uneven surfaces, potholes, pedestrians, traffic or other obstacles when riding
a scooter.
•
Always pay attention to the environment you are in and be aware of other people, places, property
and objects. Do not ride your scooter in crowded places. Respect pedestrians and particularly
children and pass with caution.
•
Do not ride your scooter in poorly lit areas.
•
Avoid riding scooter in mud or bad weather such as rain, snow or high winds. Do not ride in
thunderstorms.
•
Do not submerge scooter base in water.
•
If you encounter rough and bumpy riding surfaces along your journey, slightly bend your knees to
adapt and lower your riding speed.
•
Prolonged vibrations and hard impacts can be damaging to human joints, if journey becomes too
rough and bumpy to ride then stop riding. Do not ride scooter down steps or off drops.
