Via-TV runs on the Android™ operating system. It is
possible to reinstall or upgrade the OS if necessary. The
process is simple, but it has to be done with care, and only
when necessary. If the device exhibits unstable behavior such
as freezes, restarts, or problems accessing stored files, check
if there is a firmware update and follow the upgrade
instructions below.
Upgrading
1.
Plug your Via-TV to external power using the power
adapter AC / DC provided.
2.
Access Technical Support at www.via-play.com
3.
Select Via-TV and then download the latest Android™
firmware available. Rename the firmware to update.img
and copy it to the root folder of your TF card.
4.
Plug the TF card into the Via-TV, a“Firmware Updating”
message will pop up .
5.
Please click “Install” and make sure not to disconnect
the power cable during the installation. The Via-TV will
upgrade automatically.
