Check the thickness of the slip-on coupling for wear on a regular basis:
n If the sheet thickness of the slip-on coupling is less than 3 mm at any point, the slip-
on coupling needs to be replaced.
In general, wear occurs on the coupling below the fork bend (see Fig. 16)
or below the fork tip.
