OPERATION
The operation of the USB-844 MegaCast
series units is very simple. When the connected keyboard and/or mouse is
activated, the data is sent to all connected and powered PCs simultaneously.
CONNECTIONS
Connect the power supply included with the Broadcaster-Multicaster to the Power Jack, marked “+5VDC IN”, on the back
panel of the Broadcaster. It is recommended that the power supply be connected to a switched AC power outlet. This will
avoid having to plug/unplug the power supply from the Broadcaster-Multicaster to switch the Broadcaster-Multicaster on
and off. When the Broadcaster is powered up, note that the front panel “PWR ON” indicator on the Broadcaster is on.
PC’s can be connected to the Broadcaster-Multicaster at any time, and can be on or off at the time they are connected.
The “PC STATUS” indicators on the front panel of the Broadcaster show which PCs are powered on.
Keyboard and/or mouse can be connected or disconnected from the Broadcaster-Multicaster at any time.
