Center of gravity has both a horizontal component and a vertical component. The
vertical
center of gravity
(VCG) lies along a horizontal line above the bottom edges of the fork pockets. Similarly, the
horizontal
center of
gravity (HCG) is located along a vertical line as shown in the diagram below.
