7 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Monthly, perform the following system test to verify proper function of the Liqui-tect control panel.
1. Place a clean, damp cloth or paper towel on the cable, and verify that the leak is detected on
the control panel.
2. Using a reference map (if available), verify that the correct leak location displays.
3. See
Calibrating Resistance to Cable Length
on page 15 if necessary.
4. Dry the cable and verify that operation returns to normal.
5. Remove the end terminator from the end of the cable run, and verify that a cable-break alarm
displays on the control panel.
6. Reinstall the end terminator, and verify that operation returns to normal.
7. Monitor the cable current monthly to verify that the cable is not contaminated. The cable-
contamination alarm displays if contamination is excessive.
8. Log-in to the web UI, and verify that the Cable Current is less than 15
µ
A.
•
If current is greater than 15
µ
A, troubleshoot the cables to determine which is
contaminated. Remove the contaminated cable, clean and test it before re-installing.
