22-4 Starting Procedure

S650TX Mini Skid Steer

Jump-Starting Procedure

Step 1:

Turn ignition switch to OFF.

Step 2:

Open engine access door

(1)

Step 3:

Connect jumper cables in the
following order:

a. Red to discharged battery

POSITIVE (+) terminal

(2)

b. Red to boost battery

POSITIVE (+) terminal

(3)

c. Black to boost battery NEGATIVE (-) terminal

(4)

d. Black to frame

(5)

of machine with the discharged battery. Make

connection away from battery, hydraulic lines, and moving parts.

To avoid sparks, disconnect black cable at point

before adjusting red

cable at point

(2)

Step 4:

Start engine.

Step 5:

Remove cables in REVERSE order and install covers over cable clamps.
Close and latch battery access shield.
