Single Modular Approval Host Requirements
The Verizon Wireless USB551L Modem has been evaluated and granted approval as a modular
device for mobile applications under the FCC rules. Accordingly the USB modem can be integrated
into a host device without additional regulatory evaluation provided the following conditions are
met. If the final configuration does not satisfy this list then additional FCC and IC approvals must be
considered.
1. At least 20 cm separation distance between the antenna and the user’s body must be
maintained at all times.
2. This device must not be collocated or operate in conjunction with any other antenna or
transmitters.
3. For any end use product that the USB551L Modem is used in, a label containing the following
information must be placed visibly on the outside of the product.
This device contains FCC ID: PKRNVWMC551 and IC: 3229B-MC551
4. A user manual with the end product must clearly indicate the operating requirements and
conditions that must be observed to ensure compliance with current FCC / IC RF exposure
guidelines.
