Installation Instructions
Wiring Diagram
1. Make sure power to the existing troffer is switched off.
2. Remove existing door frame (if applicable), lamps, reflector and ballast cover. Depending on clearance space,
ballast may need to be removed.
3. Gently lift the original luminaire housing and slide in both side mounting brackets between the housing and
the T-grid. Lower the housing to rest on the brackets, securing them in place.
4. Secure the brackets to the original luminaire housing using the screws provided.
5. Hang the retrofit kit body onto the two mounting brackets by inserting the hinge screws on the kit housing
into the hole slots on each bracket and slide forward.
6. Attach the safety cables to the original luminaire housing using the screws provided.
7. Connect the retrofit kit power to the AC power and 0-10V dimmer (optional) according to wiring instructions.
If a ground wire is missing from the power supply, attach the retrofit kit’s ground wire directly to the luminaire
housing.
8. Apply “Modification Sticker” on a visible location inside the fixture.
9. Close the retrofit kit by pushing it up and securing both latches.
10. Switch on power to the luminaire.
