Deck Leveling Procedure
Always set the parking brake, shut off the tractor
engine, remove the ignition key, and ensure all
moving parts have stopped before checking
mower deck or blade condition, or attempting
any repair or adjustment.
Mower blades may be sharp. Always wear gloves
when working with mower blades.
Side-to-Side Deck Leveling
For each deck, the side-to-side leveling of the rear of the deck is set by the rear roller bracket. If for any
reason, the rear of the deck must be leveled, replacement rear roller brackets are available in 1/16” (1.6 mm)
increments and are identified in the diagram below.

*Dimensions are relative to the standard roller mounting bracket. If leveling requires a new bracket, first identify the existing
bracket, and determine the amount that the deck must be raised or lowered.
To raise the deck, select the appropriate bracket in the “+” direction.
To lower the deck, select the appropriate bracket in the “-” direction.
If, in the following steps, it is determined that the rear of the deck must be leveled, determine the amount the
rear of the deck must be raised or lowered. Identify the rear roller bracket present on the deck, and order a
replacement rear roller bracket that will raise or lower the rear of the deck the appropriate amount relative to
the existing roller bracket being replaced.
