OPERATIONAL CONTROLS
Hydraulic Rotational Control
The KA160 power blower (Serial # 1097 -) is
equipped with hydraulic rotational control of the
blower discharge. The discharge direction is con-
trolled using the secondary SDLA control lever* of
the power unit.
The KA160 power blower (Serial # 1001-1096) is
equipped with a manual rotation lock lever.
Blower Deflector
The blower discharge can be further controlled with
the blower deflector (A). The blower deflector can
be set to deflect the discharge slightly downward to
contact the ground closer to the power blower. The
blower deflector can also be set to direct the airflow
down at a steeper angle to remove leaves and
debris from ditches. To set the blower deflector
angle, loosen the knob (B) on the side of the deflec
-
tor. Move the deflector to the desired angle and
tighten the knob.

Weight Transfer
If using a power unit equipped with adjustable
weight transfer, find a setting that allows the power
blower to properly follow the ground contours with-
out the gauge wheels gouging into soft ground.
* Refer to power unit operator’s manual for operation of
power unit controls.
