How to Use the Sonar Sensor
1. How the sonar fish finder works
1) The system uses sonar to
locate and define structure,
bottom contour, and depth
directly below the sensor. It
transmits sound pulse from
the
sensor,
and
then
measures the time it takes for
the echoes to return to the sensor. Different objects in
water echo the pulse at a different intensity. The built-in
computer then organizes all of this information and
shows it on the display screen.
2) The first column of fish indicators on the right of the
screen shows the most current information. This icon is
then moved to the left as a new reading is displayed.
This motion in no way reflects actual movement of the
fish.
