ATX2/S PIEZOELECTRIC INDOOR SIREN WITH BUILT
–IN TRANSCEIVER TO CONTROL UP
TO 8 OUTDOOR WIRELESS SIRENS.
General Description
Piezoelectric siren with an integrated transmitting section able to control up to
8 wireless sirens
and a receiving section
able to manage all information coming from the memorized sirens. The transmitting section consist in two control inputs
(
alarm input and on/off input)
to be connected to the main , a button (
P1)
which transmits continuously, if pressed,
the codes to be memorized on the sirens or, (if keeping it pressed during the power-on) to generate or modify this code.
The receiving section is composed by a
7 segments display, 3 signaling, 3 logical outputs and the button P2.
The
display allow to show from 1 to 8, which siren is signalizing a problem.
The
3 led
allow to visualize the kind of anomaly detected on the sirens:
tamper alarm DL1, missing supervision DL2
and low battery level DL3.
The tamper led is reset with the main activation while the other two are reset when battery or radio signal are restored. If
anomaly is detected on more than one siren, the display starts to cycle, displaying for 2 seconds the number of siren,
while the 3 led show the type of anomaly noticed.
Button P2 is used to access programming, memorize siren codes and exit programming.
The sequence is the following:

Description of outputs, inputs and buttons
Input ON/OFF
Terminal no. 3 and no. 4
Terminal no.3
input to be connected to the ON/OFF output of the control panel. When going to LOW level (GND) for
more than a second, there is a system ON transmission for 2 seconds. This is indicated with the letter “A” on a display,
four flashes of the siren’s beacon and 1 LED blinking during the whole period of the low condition. When it returns to
HIGH level for more than a second, there is a 2 second system OFF transmission, and the siren’s beacon lights up for
about 10 seconds.
Terminal no. 4
input to be connected to the ON/OFF output of the control panel. When going to HIGH level (12 VDC)
for more than a second, there is a system on transmission for 2 seconds. This is indicated with the letter “A” on a
display, four flashes of the siren’s beacon and LED 1 blinking during the whole period of the high condition. When it
returns to LOW level for more than a second, there is a 2 second system OFF transmission, and the siren’s beacon
lights up for about 10 seconds
ALARM Input
Terminal no. 5 and no. 6
Terminal no. 5
input to be connected to the alarm output of the control panel. When going to LOW level (GND) for more
than a second, there is an alarm transmission to the siren for 2 seconds. Immediately after this, a modulated output gets
activated and the piezoelectric indoor siren will sound too. Sound modulation goes from 2600 and 3600 Hz.
Siren remains activated until alarm input returns to HIGH level. When it returns to HIGH level, after a
second, the piezo-
electric siren stop to sound and there is a 2 second transmission that keeps the radio sirens.
Terminal no. 6
input to be connected to the alarm output of the control panel. When going to HIGH level (12 VDC) for
more than a second, there is an alarm transmission to the siren for 2 seconds. . Immediately after this, a modulated
output gets activated and the piezoelectric indoor siren will sound too. Sound modulation goes from 2600 and 3600 Hz.
Siren remains activated until alarm input returns to LOW level. When it returns to LOW level, after a
second, the piezo-
electric siren stop to sound and there is a 2 second transmission that keeps the radio sirens silent.
TAMPER Output
Terminal
no. 7 and no. 8
This relay output (with normal closed contact) collects all tamper indications from the memorized sirens. When a tamper
transmission is received from one of the sirens, the output opens for 2 seconds. The display and the
tamper LED DL1
memorize and display the event. This condition persists until the next arming of the control panel.
Supervision
Terminal no. 9
This open collector output collects lack of supervision signals from all memorized sirens. If no supervision signal is
received from the memorized sirens in 3 hours, this output is switched to low level. The display and the
supervision
LED DL2
display and memorize the event. This condition persists until the resolution of the problem causing the event.
