11. Upper Nest Pivot Assemblies:
Be sure the short Upper Pivot Assembly is on the left side and not hitting the Fuel Tank.
Be sure that the vertical flange on the Upper Pivot Assembly is toward the cab. See Figure
7D on page 6242 and Figure 11 below.
12. Installing Body on Truck:
Be sure the Power Unit and Hoist are operating properly. Cycle the Hoist up and down
2-3 times before installing the body on the truck frame - chassis. Place the body back on
the pickup chassis and install the rear hinge pivot pins (1" dia. x 5-1/16" - 2 required). The
head on the hinge pin should be on the outside of the hinge. Use a 1/4" x 1-3/4" roll pin
through the collar on the inside of the hinge and through the hole in the hinge pin on both
hinges. Loosen the bed bolts on the rear hinge to position the body square (left to right)
with the truck cab. Tighten all the fasteners on the rear hinges (left and right) before
continuing.
