VL8182 – SUPER FAST CHARGER FOR NiMH BATTERIES

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm

Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized
company for recycling.
This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.

device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
•
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
•
This charger is intended for use with NiMH rechargeable batteries only. Attempting to charge other types may
cause personal injury and damage to the charger.
•
The batteries are not charged as shipped. Charge the batteries before first use.
•
Make sure to insert the batteries correctly, do not throw your batteries into fire and do not mix NiMH batteries with
other types in order to avoid personal injury, explosion or short-circuits.
•
Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
•
Plug your charger directly into the mains. The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
•
Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shocks or damage. Take it to an authorized dealer for repair.
•
Do not disassemble the charger. Incorrect reassemble may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
•
Clean your VL8182 using a damp cloth. Do not immerse the charger.
•
Place the charger on a plane horizontal surface.
•
Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
•
Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
3. Use
•
Insert 1 or 2 AA or AAA NiMH batteries into the battery compartment. Mind the polarity. Make sure not to mix AA
and AAA batteries.
•
Plug the charger into an available 100~250VAC mains outlet. The built-in switching power supply will
automatically adjust itself to the voltage. A proper adapter plug (not incl.) may be required when using the charger
overseas. The green LED will flash during charging.
•
The green LED will stop flashing when the batteries are fully charged and ready for use. Leaving the batteries into
the charger will activate the trickle charging mode. The green LED will glow steadily.
•
Remove the batteries and unplug the charger. Do not leave the batteries in the charger for an extended period of
time (more than 2 days).
