Push the Laser button to switch the laser pointer ON. The laser pointer is only used for aiming. When
the laser is on, the laser icon appears appear on the LCD. Aim the red beam approximately 1 cm below
the point of test. Pressing the Laser button again turns the laser off.

Select the temperature units using the °C/°F button.

Release the trigger. The reading will hold for approximately 7 seconds. The devices shuts off automatically
after 20 seconds.
Backlight
When backlight is on, any operation activates the backlight for about 7 seconds.
Distance-to-spot ratio (D:S)
•
The device's distance-to-spot ratio is 12:1.
•
The distance-to-spot ratio (D:S) is the ratio of the
distance to the object and the diameter of the
temperature measurement area.
•
For instance if the D:S ratio is 12:1, measurement of
an object 120 cm away will average the temperature
over a 10 cm area.

Battery
Replace the battery when the battery low icon
appears on the display or if the device does not light when
you pull the trigger.
The battery is located in the hand grip.
1.
Pull open the hand grip.
2.
Insert a battery.
Only use appropriate batteries (see Technical Specifications below).
Respect the polarity.

Close the battery cover.
Warning
•
Keep batteries away from children.
•
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode.
•
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline).
•
Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
8.
Cleaning and Maintenance
•
The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the thermometer and should be kept clean at all times.
•
To do this, only use a soft cloth or cotton bud with a little water or medical alcohol.
•
Allow the lens to fully dry before using the thermometer.
•
Wipe the other parts of the thermometer regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or
solvents.
•
Do not submerge the thermometer in water or any other liquid.
•
There are no user-serviceable parts.
•
Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
•
