3.1 Configuration
The scope of delivery encompasses:
• VEGABAR 14 process pressure transmitter
• angled plug connector and 2 mm screwdriver (for
instruments with connection acc. to DIN 43650)
• connection cable (for instruments with cable out-
let)
• Documentation
– this operating instructions manual
– test protocol.
3.2 Principle of operation
VEGABAR 14 is a process pressure transmitter for
gauge, absolute or vacuum pressure measurement.
The measured media can be gases, vapours and
liquids.
The CERTEC
®
measuring cell with rugged ceramic
diaphragm is the sensor element. The process pres-
sure causes a capacity change in the measuring cell
(via the ceramic diaphragm) which is converted into a
4... 20 mA signal.
VEGABAR 14 has a two-wire, 4 ... 20 mA electronics
module for power supply with 12 ... 30 V DC.
