If a newer released software version is available, then the currently 
installed software version will be displayed as well as the latest available 
version

the test unit.

Changing the Protocol Mode 

The unit can be configured to operate in either SONET or SDH networks. 

The options that appear on this screen are determined by your hardware 

configuration. 

Changing the Protocol Mode from the System > Misc screen will globally apply the 

Protocol mode change to all test modules/ports in the system. 

You must have all of the ports 

locked

. 

1.  Select the 

System

 tab and choose 

Misc

. 

2.  Select the 

Change Protocol Mode

 button. 

3.  The following menu options appear:

These options appear if your unit contains 
one or more board capable of testing 
SONET/SDH 

4.  Select the desired protocol mode. The protocol tabs and settings will updated to 

reflect the selected mode.
