Introduction
Overview
A Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Recirculating Temperature Sensor monitors the temperature in the DEF fluid
between the DEF tank and the DEF dispensers to prevent DEF fluid from freezing in the lines or degrading at high
temperatures (see Figure 1). When the sensed temperature drops or rises to a preset temperature, the ATG can
turn on the DEF pump to recirculate the DEF fluid throughout the piping until the product temperature reaches a
preset stop temperature. The ATG can also control a customer supplied Heat Trace System independently or
concurrently with the DEF pump.
