PRODUCT PROFILE
The Springline 3.0 USB Extender Active Optical Cable (AOC) is suitable for
connection of a USB 3.0 camera or other USB 3.0 device to a host computer with a
USB 3.0 port. Transfer rate is 5 Gb/s.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
Transfer rate is backward compatible to USB 2.0/ 1.1 with the included dongle.
Ultrafine and anti-bending optical fiber.
Multi-mode optical fiber.
Supports hot-plugging and surge protection.
Extends the USB 3.0 transmission distance from 3m to over 100m. 30M cable
included.
Can be used as a remote USB 3.0 port when connected to the USB port of a
host or hub.
HARDWARE INSTALL
Plug one AOC USB type A male connector in to the host
’s USB 3.0 type A female
connector. Connect the other end to the dongle. The camera (or the other USB
device) cable then connects to the dongle. Plug the power supply into a suitable
outlet and connect it to the dongle.
This is a plug and play device, no drivers are required.
If needing to connect to a USB 2.0/1.1 device, please use the super TT
dongle as shown in the above diagram.
Attention: Optical fiber cannot be bent 180 degrees. The bending
radius may not be less than 20mm.
