Hand brake signal – PARKING

Connect the pink wire to a suitable hand brake point.
✎
When the hand brake is applied, the signal must lie at earth potential.
✎
For reasons of driving safety, video images from the DVD, SD, USB and AUX sources are
only displayed on the TFT monitor of the main unit when the hand brake is applied.

Telephone mute – “Telephone Mute”:
☞
Connect the brown “Telephone Mute” cable to the mute function output of your hands-
free unit.
■
Navi audio switching – “NAVI TRIG”:
☞
Connect the grey “NAVI TRIG” cable with the supplied quick connector to the MUTE output
of the navigation computer.

Navigation instructions are then transmitted via the loudspeakers of the multimedia system.
■
Reversing camera – “CAMERA”:
Connect a reversing camera to this input.
✎
If the switch input for the reverse gear is connected (see “Connection overview, Further
connections”), the video image from the reversing camera is displayed automatically as
soon as reverse gear is engaged.

VDO Dayton reversing cameras can be connected via the MI 2050 interface.

AUX AV input – “AV IN”:

Connect the video output of the AV source to the adapter cable’s yellow socket.
☞
Connect the right-hand channel of the AV source’s audio output to the adapter cable’s
red socket.
☞
Connect the left-hand channel of the AV source’s audio output to the adapter cable’s
white socket.

Video signals are output to the TFT monitor only if the hand brake signal has been routed
properly (see “Hand brake signal – PARKING”).

Audio/front output:
A power amplifier and additional loudspeakers can be linked to the unit via this connection.
✎
The audio signal of the front unit is output via this output.
■
Rear DVD output – “DVD OUT”:
When using a rear monitor, you can connect the DVD-player AV signal to the monitor via
this connection.

In multi-zone operation, the DVD-player AV signal is output via this output.
■
Radio antenna:

Connect the AM/FM vehicle antenna to the antenna socket. Use the supplied plug adapter
if necessary.

If your vehicle is equipped with an active antenna with phantom power, you may have to
use a feed multicoupler. In this case, please ask your dealer about a suitable feed
multicoupler.
