Basic functions
■ Selecting the Bluetooth profile

Switch on the ignition to activate the hands-free terminal.
☞
Press the
p
and
H
buttons on the remote control to toggle between the “headset”
and “hands-free” Bluetooth profiles.

The hands-free profile is set as the default setting.

An audible signal confirms that the profile has changed and will remain active until the
next change:

Hands-free profile activated: 3 high tones
❏
Headset profile activated: 3 low tones
Important note:
We recommend that you use the hands-free profile if it is supported by your mobile phone.
This profile was developed specifically for use with hands-free units (e.g. for optimum echo
and noise suppression).
If you are using the headset profile, the range of functions supported will vary depending
on the mobile phone. See section “Making and receiving calls with the headset profile”.

Link between the mobile phone and the CIX 3000 Blue (“pairing” mode)
In order to be able to use the mobile phone with the CIX 3000 Blue hands-free terminal, the
terminal must be logged onto the CIX 3000 Blue.
This procedure only needs to be carried out once.
A total of 5 mobile phones can be logged onto the CIX 3000 Blue. If, when the Bluetooth
function is activated, a number of the telephones logged on are present, the telephone
logged on first always has access to the CIX 3000 Blue.

Switch on the ignition.

Press the

and
8
buttons on the remote control at the same time to activate registration
mode.
You will hear 2 low tones. The CIX 3000 Blue will now wait for a Bluetooth mobile phone
to log on.

Next, activate the “Search for Bluetooth devices” on the mobile phone to establish the
connection to the Bluetooth hands-free terminal.
More detailed information about registering Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone can
be found in the mobile phone operating instructions.

Whilst the link is being established, you will be prompted to enter a Bluetooth PIN. The
PIN for the CIX 3000 Blue is “
1234 ”.
Once the link to a Bluetooth mobile phone has been established, 2 high tones will sound
and the CIX 3000 Blue will switch to standard mode.
The CIX 3000 Blue hands-free terminal is now ready for use with the mobile phone.
