Open the front.
Slide a cassette with the open side to the right
into the cassette opening.
Close the front.
The display
briefly
shows TAPE CR if a metal
or chromium cassette is inserted. Playback starts.
If a cassette is already inserted :
• Select cassette as source.
Playback starts.
TA, NEWS/WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENTS may interrupt cassette playback.

The scan enables you to listen to the first few seconds of each track. You can select how
many seconds each track is scanned; see ‘INITIAL SETTINGS’.
PREVIOUS / NEXT TRACK (Music Search System MSS)
Select how many tracks you want to miss out from the current playing position.
• Previous Tracks.
• Next Tracks.
To stop the search reduce the displayed number until
the display shows
PLAY
.
The sound is muted until the desired track is reached.
The set can only recognise tracks when there are silent intervals of at least 3 seconds.
