3. Installation
Note for the installation site:
When installing, always ensure that the antenna is not shielded by, for example, panel heaters, lamps or cover
cranes under the ceiling and that the transmitter unit is not too warm. Also, do not mount the system in the
immediate vicinity of GSM or WLAN repeaters, as this may cause interference in unfavourable cases.
Do not install the transmitter antenna in close proximity to the hall doors, as otherwise the system could
radiate out of the building and possibly interfere with GNSS receivers from other vehicles.
start-up:
Use the enclosed 230V power supply to power the transmit antenna from a 230V outlet. The readiness is
signaled to you by a red LED at the transmitting unit. The power supply of the socket should always be
switched ON or OFF by means of a switch. The system may only be operated with the doors closed.
Please note that the transmitter antenna is not waterproof and therefore not suitable for outdoor installation.
The GNSS repeater system takes several minutes to transmit at the specified power.
If there is insufficient signal strength after several minutes, please check the outdoor
antenna installation and whether it has a clear view of the sky. Also check the
transmitter antenna for proper alignment with your test object in the room and the
connections of the cable ends for tightness. The transmitter antenna must not be in
direct visual contact with the outside antenna due to possible interference!
Legal terms:
Before installing or operating the system, you should familiarize yourself with the applicable national regulations
for the use of GPS repeaters.
In Germany, the use of GNSS repeaters requires a frequency allocation by the Federal Network Agency.
Information about the registration process can be found in the appendix.
For damages in this regard, only the user of the system is liable.
