CONTROL
:
There are two ways to control the FC 500-PC.
First there is the four button control display (FC400-BP), connected directly to the controller. Secondly
there is the three button remote display (MDR-BP), connected by a local RS485 (RS485-dis) network.
Normally the control unit displays the room temperature measured by the FC500-PC. In case of an
error the unit displays the error code (see page 12). The remote displays also display the unit number
that generated the error. Press any key to acknowledge the error. Now the unit alternates the room
temperature and the error code until the error is solved.
Switching the controller on or off
4-Button:
Press the ON/OFF key to turn the controller on or off.
3-Button:
Press all three buttons (SET, DOWN and UP) simultaneously to turn the controller
on or off.
Adjusting the temperature:
4-Button:
Press the UP or DOWN key to view the current temperature setpoint. A blinking “t”
indicates that the mode is selected. Use the UP or DOWN key to raise or lower the
set point.
3-Button:
Press the UP or DOWN key to view the current temperature setpoint. A blinking dot
indicates that this mode is selected. Use the UP or DOWN key to raise or lower the
set point.
Adjusting the fan speed:
4-Button:
Press the FAN key to view the fan speed setting. The fan light will turn on. Select
with the UP or DOWN key the fan speed.
3-Button:
For the three button display use the SET key in stead of the FAN key.
A “F” will indicate that the mode is activated.
(NB. It may not always be possible to lower the fan speed due to requirements for heating or
boosting. In that case the new fan speed will be set when the room is on temperature).
Adjusting the fan speed without temperature control:
Switch the control off. Adjust the fan speed as above. To switch the fan off, the fan speed
should be 0.
