Status Mode
In Status mode the screen scrolls through a series of messages every three seconds. The
backlighting on the LCD panel alerts you to warnings or errors. The sequence of information
is as follows:
• Basic information – always present.
• Edit message - when an Edit session is in progress.
• Warning messages – displayed if present.
• Configured destinations – shows program information and destinations configured on
the Transmitter page in VBAdmin.
• Error messages – displayed if present.

Configuration Mode
Configuration mode lets you set high-level configuration parameters for the appliance using
the keypad. Table 16 shows keypad navigation functions; Table 17 shows the configuration
options that are available using the front panel. In Configuration mode you use the keypad
arrows to navigate and the
Select
button to choose the "selected" items or numbers. If you
enter invalid data, error messages (and other messages) are displayed on the bottom line of
the LCD. If you press
Select
without making changes, the message
No Network Changes
is
displayed on the bottom line. (Note that the Hostname and User Descriptions on lines 1 and
2 of the LCD are set using VBAdmin. See Configuration > General in the
H.264 Admin
Guide for details.)

Button Description
Mode Use to select Status, Configuration, or Function mode.
Select Select options in Configuration mode only.
Arrows Navigate in Configuration mode only.
F1 – F4 Used to run scripts in Function mode. Can also be used to advance to
the Previous (F1) and Next (F4) screen in Configuration mode.
Color Description
Red Indicates errors are present
Yellow Indicates warnings are present.
Blue No warnings, no errors.
Key Function
Up and Down arrows Scrolls up to number nine or down to zero.
Left and Right arrows Scrolls left or right in the LCD display.
Select Select specified number or character.
