Adjusting the V-Brake Cable Tension
The brake cable must be adjusted so that the brakes are as close as possible to the wheel
rim when no pressure is applied to the brake lever. The brake pad must be about 3 mm away
from the wheel rim.
To adjust, release the bolt (see photo above) and adjust the brake cable so the brake pads
are positioned correctly.
Tighten the bolt again while holding the braking cable in position.
Fine-Tuning the Cable Tension
If the brake pads are too close or too far away from the wheel rim, they can be 昀椀ne-tuned
by turning the adjustment bolt to increase or decrease the brake pad distance.
Turn anticlockwise to move the brake pads away from the wheel rim.
Turn clockwise to move the brake pads close to the wheel rim.
