6. Cleaning the Vacuum Cleaner
IMPORTANT:
Switch off and unplug the vacuum
cleaner before performing any maintenance.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a transparent
window on the dust container as shown in Fig.12. When
the dust container is full or the filters are clogged or when
the vacuum cleaner suction power becomes low and you
see the container is full, the vacuum cleaner should be
switched off and emptied. The filters should also be
cleaned and the accessories checked for blockages.
After emptying the container or removing the blockage
the vacuum cleaner can be turned on and vacuuming
continued.
Grasp the unit as shown in Fig.13 with a thumb
pushing down on the release button and the dust
container cover will open so that the dust can be
removed.
7. Removing the Filters
Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner before
performing any maintenance.
WARNING:
Do not operate the vacuum cleaner
without filters in place.
The vacuum cleaner comes equipped with a
permanent filter in the container plus an air
outlet filter. The vacuum cleaner should be switched off
and unplugged before removing the filter. Remove the
permanent filter from the vacuum cleaner as shown in
Fig.14. To remove the permanent pleated
filter from the filter basket, remove it as shown in Fig.15.
Both filters can be cleaned by shaking out the dust.
To replace the filters simply reverse the process, making
sure the permanent pleated filter is located in the hook
on the bottom face of the unit. To clean the air
outlet filter, open the rear air outlet grille and pull the filter
out of the recess. Shake and tap the filter out and
replace it.
