PANO Image Optimization
1. PANO Sensor Calibration
To optimize general image quality in Smart Plus (PHT-35LHS), the operator should perform the
Sensor Calibration operation according to the following procedures.
Regular Sensor Calibration check-up is recommended to perform for image optimization against
temperature and humidity variation.
Do the PANO Image Optimization only if CBCT Image Optimization is completed.
1.1. PANO Sensor Calibration Standard
PANO Sensor Dark Calibration Standard Value
- Dark data file median value: 700 ~ 2300
PANO Sensor Bright Calibration Standard Value (With 1 mm Copper Filter)
- 1 Point Bright data file median value: 60 ~ 80
- 2 Point Bright data file median value: 80 ~ 200
- 3 Point Bright data file median value: 200 ~ 600
- 4 Point Bright data file median value: 600 ~ 1000
- 5 Point Bright data file median value: 800 ~
From the achieved PANO Sensor Bright Calibration data file, the 1 Point Bright Data file and
5 Point Bright data files should meet the standard value. Another result from different points
Bright Data file can be varied by characteristics of each sensor.
1 mm Copper Filter must be ready for PANO Sensor Calibration. Bright Calibration data
cannot be achieved without the Copper Filter.
1.2. Before PANO sensor calibration
1) Remove the Temple Supports and the Normal Chin Block from the unit.
2) Disassemble the Tube cases (See Chapter 1. Hardware Service Guide).
3) Rename the CAL folder(C:\VCaptureSW\Acquisition\Pano\WidePano\CAL) name for backup.
