Commissioning and functions:
1. Adjusting:
Position the light somewhere where it can sit securely
and upright.
2. Power pack power supply:
Insert the little round plug for the power pack into the
opening marked DC 5V on the back. Then plug the
power pack itself into a 220 V outlet. The light is ready
to use immediately. The internal battery charges up
while the light is in use. The rear LED illuminates red.
Once the battery is fully charged, the LED turns green.
3. USB power supply:
The option is also available for you to charge and
operate the desk lamp via a USB cable. This means you
can even connect it to devices such as your laptop,
meaning you never have to be tied to one place.
4. Charging and charge status display:
The rear LED illuminates red or green to indicate the
charge status of the battery.
Red = battery charging // Green = battery fully
charged
5. Switching on/off:
To activate the main lamp unit for operation, flick the
main switch on the back from OFF to ON. You can then
switch the lamp itself on or off by touching the ON/
OFF button on the front.
6. Light mode:
When the lamp is switched on, you can adjust the light
mode by touching the “M” button. The most recent
setting is always saved.
3 light modes: Neutral/Cold/Warm.
7. Dimmer function:
By pressing and holding the ON/OFF switch, you
have the option to adjust the brightness of the lamp
to make it dimmer or brighter. Simply let go of the
button once you have achieved the required level of
brightness.
8. Countdown timer:
Splitty comes complete with its own integrated timer
function. If the timer function is activated, the light
switches off automatically after 40 minutes, which
is a particularly useful feature if you fall asleep while
reading at night. Press and hold the timer button until
the light flashes twice to activate the timer mode. The
light will then switch off after 40 minutes.
If you press and hold the button again for longer, the
timer will start again with another 40 minutes. The
timer can be deactivated by switching the lamp off
and straight back on again.
