AC operation
• Before the first connecting of the ap
-
pliance check that voltage indicated on the
rating label corresponds the mains voltage in
your home.
• Insert the plug into power supply.
Caution:
• When the set is only used with AC or is
not used for 2 weeks or more, please remove
the batteries, to avoid damage to the set from
leakage of batteries.
• Always switch off the unit when not in
use.
• Always unplug the appliance from pow
-
er supply, when not in use long time.
RADIO OPERAtIOn
• Set CD/MP3/AM/FM/OFF/USB/CARD
switch to the desired band (AM or FM).
• Rotate TUNING regulator to tune-in the
desired station.
• Adjust the telescopic antenna (for FM)
and position of the set (for AM) to obtain the
best reception.
• Rotate VOLUME regulator to adjust the
volume the desired level.
• To turn off the radio, slide CD/MP3/AM/
FM/OFF/USB/CARD switch to “OFF”.
HEADPHOnE COnnECtIOn
• For private listening, insert 3.5-mm
headphone into the stereo headphone jack
(on the back side of the unit).
• Adjust volume to the appropriate level by
turning VOLUME regulator.
• When the stereo headphone jack is
plugged, speakers will disconnect automati-
cally.
CD/MP3/USB/SD OPERAtIOn
Insertion and removal of discs
• When opening the CD-door, always en
-
sure the disc is not in motion (not spinning).
Always press STOP/CARD button to stop the
disc spinning first.
• Place a CD into the compartment with
the label-side (printed side of disc) facing up
-
wards. Press down in the center part of disc
until the disc locks onto the center spindle.
• When the CD has been placed onto
the center spindle, gently lower the CD-door
downwards until it locks shut.
• The CD is now ready to be played.
• To remove a disc, follow the same pro
-
cedure as described above, except to remove
the CD instead of inserting it into the com-
partment, by placing one finger at the middle
of disc (center spindle) and the other at the
edge of the disc and gently pulling upwards.
Always hold a CD by its edges. Avoid
getting any finger prints, smudges or dirt onto
the surface of a disc. In case this happens,
use a special CD-cleaning cloth or cleaning kit
to remove the dirt or smudges. Please make
sure to always fold down the handle before
opening the CD door.
general operation
• Insert a CD as described.
• Slide CD/MP3/AM/FM/OFF/USB/CARD
switch to “CD/MP3/USB/CARD” position.
• The CD will spin momentarily and then
the display will show the total number of t
racks (songs) of the disc.
• At anytime during playback, press USB/
PLAY/PAUSE button to pause operation of the
unit. Press this button to resume operation at
the same track and position.
• At anytime during playback, press STOP/
CARD button to stop operation of the set. This
will reset the CD-player to the first track (if
you press USB/PLAY/PAUSE after STOP/
CARD, the first track will always start playing).
• At anytime during playback, press BACK
and NEXT buttons to ski p backwards or for-
wards by one track.
• At anytime during playback, press and
hold BACK and NEXT buttons to fast-reverse
or fast-forward the currently playing track.
MP3 disc playback
• Insert an MP3 disc, close the CD door.
