Change/adjustment of the spark plug

Attention!  Worn-out  spark  plugs  or  too  large  distance  between  breaker
contacts decrease the engine performance.

Turn the unit off.

Disconnect the sparkplug cable from the spark plug.

Unscrew counterclockwise the spark plug with a spark plug key. Do not use any other tool
in order to prevent any damage.

Use a control template (available at specialized shops) and check the distance between
the breaker contacts. The distance must be 0.635 mm.

If necessary, correct the distance by carefully bending the ignition arch of the spark plug.

Clean the spark plug with a wire brush.

Insert a cleaned and adjusted spark plug or replace the damaged one by a new one.

Reconnect the spark plug cable.
