Installation
1. Open the automatic control cabinet by undoing the
screws that hold the lid, 28, together and the bottom
section, 27. Undo the cables and the screws, 21, from
the immersion heater.
2. Separate the elements on the immersion heater a little
before it is screwed in.
3. Fill with water, vent and check that it is sealed.
4. Screw the bottom section tightly to the immersion heater using the
screws, 21. Before they are tightened, adjust the position of the
automatic control cabinet. Tighten the screws well and check that
the bottom section cannot slide against the head of the immersion
heater.
5. Straighten out capillary tubes to the sensors, 25 and 26, so they
are as straight as possible and insert them in the sensor tube until
they reach the bottom. The capillary tubes must be handled care-
fully. In the event of damage, the thermostat/overheating protec
-
tion must be replaced.

6. Connect the cables to the immer-
sion heater. Check at the same time that
the cable lugs are firmly clamped to the
immersion heater connections.
7. Tighten the cover to the bottom section.
The capillary tubes must not be in contact with any live parts!
Before the screws to the cover are tightened fully, check that
no cables or capillary tubes are trapped between the bottom
section and cover or lying in an unsuitable position within the
automatic control cabinet!
To obtain a good electrical connection, a loosened flat cable
lug must always be clamped together before it is reassembled!

Electrical installation must be carried out in accordance with
the applicable regulations, by an authorised electrical installer
or by someone who is covered by the company's self-inspection
programme!
All electrical connection must be with high-voltage insulated cable.
The immersion heater must be mounted horizontally.
Installation must be performed so the automatic control cabinet
is not exposed to damaging heat radiation e.g. blazing flames
from the door to insert wood.
The immersion heater is installed in a 2" sleeve on the boiler,
storage tank or K-060 tank.
The immersion heater is not suitable for heating water (oxygen-
ated water).
Due to galvanic corrosion, a stainless steel immersion heater
must not be installed in a copper vessel.
Alkalinity ≥ 60 mg/l to avoid corrosion.
Carbonic acid content > 25 mg/l increases the risk of corrosion.
Sulphate content > 100 mg/l may accelerate corrosion. If the
sulphate content is higher than the alkalinity, there is a risk of
copper corrosion.
Hard water causes boiler scale and is not suitable in a heating
system.
Very soft water may cause corrosion damage.
Chloride levels above 100 mg/l make the water aggressive, es
-
pecially in combination with lime deposits.
Low pH values may cause corrosion damage. The pH value
should be 7.5- 8.5.
The presence of carbonic acid in combination with low pH and
hardness values makes the water aggressive.
The water must not contain sludge or other contaminants.
