The working tool start is accompanied by the partial slipping of the V-belt and associated accompanying
phenomena (knocking, whistling). When the belt has been run in, these effects usually disappear.

Always press the clutch lever up to the handlebar handle. If the lever is not fully pressed, the V-belt gets
damaged.
Note:
In the case of a new or a cold engine, the engine may stall when the working tool drive is activated first few times. When the engine has
warmed up, this will no longer happen. If the working tool drive can not be started even after warming up the engine, make sure that there
is no fault per

ACHINE START AND TRAVEL
The travel is activated by travel clutch lever 17 in Fig. 2 on the left handle. Push the lever to the handle, and the machine will
immediately move forward. Once you press the lever and the machine starts moving forward, adjust your walking speed to the machine
speed!

The travel clutch is a belt one, you may press the clutch lever slowly – the machine will start moving smoothly, without
any jerking.

Always press the clutch lever fully to the handlebar handle. If the lever is not fully pressed, the V-belt gets
damaged.

The travel clutch lever cannot control the travel speed! The V-belt gets damaged.

Never back with the travel clutch lever pressed! Do not fight the machine.

TOPPING
To stop the machine travel, release the lever on the left handle. The machine travel will stop; however, the working tool will continue
spinning. The working tool drive will only stop after you release the lever on the right handle. The automatic brake will stop the working
tool. Move the accelerator lever to its position

If the engine cannot be stopped by pressing the STOP switch button
Fig. 4 or by the accelerator lever in its
position 1 STOP, Fig. 5 wait for the petrol tank to get empty, and do not leave your machine. To have your
engine shutting down repaired, contact a specialized dealership, please.

Always turn OFF the engine and wait for the work tool to stop before performing any work in the close vicinity of
the machine! Always switch the engine OFF before leaving your machine!

Do not let the engine running at its full speed or idling for a long time when the attached working tool drive clutch and
travel wheels drive clutch are OFF! The machine’s drive train parts (V-belt, belt pulley, coupling pulley, etc.) may get
damaged!

The machine features two forward speeds Fig. 6 . The slower TURTLE for dense, moist or tall growth, faster RABBIT for thin, dry,
or short growth.

Always adjust the travel speed to the growth type or stop and wait for the mass to be processed by your
machine, please!
A speed change is made by moving the V-belt on the pulleys between the gearbox and the shaft per

When changing speeds, the engine must always be switched OFF and the throttle in its 1 STOP position! For
machines with electric starters 75 , remove their battery from its holder as well.

The electric starter machines (F-580BiS) feature their upper gearbox covers 1 with attached cable harnesses.
Be careful when handling the cover to prevent damage to the cable harness or disconnect the electric engine
control connectors.
Procedure:
1) Loosen plastic nut 3 in

76 . Swivel top gearbox cover 1 up in the arrow direction and pull it out sideways to the rear.
Now, remove spring cotter pin 5 and press foot 4 of gearbox bottom cover 2 located in the middle of the rear frame part,
till the cover releases and pops up from the projection in the frame.
2) Remove the V-belt off the gearbox pulley to the right into the slot in the frame between the pulley and machine frame tube.
3) Slide the V-belt forward for about 1.5 cm, and then move it to the wedge groove in the shaft pulley per the selected gear. Check
visually and by touching whether the belt fits to the selected pulley groove.
4) Insert the V-belt into the groove in the gearbox pulley, corresponding to the selected gear. Visually make sure that the belt is
seated straight in the correct pulleys per the selected gear (see
Fig. 5
). The belt must not cross!

Loosen the plastic nut with about 1 to 2 turns. There is a groove in the cover that allows the cover to be removed without unscrewing the plastic nut.
