SECTION 6 – Multiple Amplifiers Linked
Linked Example:
Linking Multiple 850D-DA Amplifiers
Link multiple 850D-DA units to add additional audio zones within a project. When linking the 850D-DA, connect each unit via the
expansion bus using standard Ethernet patch cables. Each 850D-DA must have its own dedicated Ethernet Bus connection to the
local network as illustrated. The source equipment’s audio outputs are connected to the first 850D-DA unit in the stack. This is known
as the source unit. Audio signals are buffered and sent to the next amplifier in the stack via the SPDIF out to the SPDIF in using RCA
type connectors. The maximum number of 850D-DA amplifiers in a multiple unit configuration is nine (9). This allows 72 zones of
stereo audio.
