USING THE SpinVessel® SYSTEM
The optimal stirring mode is dependent upon the application and needs to be empirically
determined
.
Factors to consider in determining optimal SpinVessel® mixing are the density of the
particulates, their size and shape, volume and viscosity of the liquid. Start with lower speeds and 1-4
rotations before reversing and work up to the appropriate speed and rotations for the particulate solution.
See below for an example of low versus high RPM for a 6L solution of yeast cells.
