Owner’s Information
To re
fi
t the window:
1. Place it on its frame and hold it in place while
pushing and turning its fastening studs 90 degrees.
Then, apply light hand pressure against the window
frame sides to bed-in the window seal.
2.
If the Hot Glass Warning plate has been removed
from the front lower corner of the window,
reinstall it by sliding it between the glass and
the frame as indicated.
3.
Traditional stove MFCS01 and MFCS02:
Re-hook
the cast front.
Contemporary stove MFCS04:
a) Re-install the upper side columns on each side
of the window
fi
tting the bottom
fi
rst and then
pushing in squarely sliding the spring clips on the
inside edge of the side panels.
b) Re-insert the concrete cast shelf between the
upper and lower columns. Close the access door
if opened.
c) Re-hook the window frame cover to the window’s
spring-loaded top bolts.

Traditional stove MFCS01 and MFCS02:
Re-install
the barrier screen by inserting
fi
rst the top clip in the
arch of the front and then pushing on the side of the
screen so that the clips snap into place.
Contemporary stove MFCS04:
Re-install the
barrier screen by hooking
fi
rst the lower brackets
to the inside edge of the concrete shelf and then
pushing the screen against the stove so the upper
clips snap on the upper side columns.
Cleaning the Stove Casing
Barrier screens
The barrier screens can be brushed clean.
Cast iron stove body
The matte cast iron stove body can be brushed clean.
The enameled cast iron stove body can be cleaned with
mild soap and water then dried with a lint-free soft cloth.
Cast concrete stove body
Dust down the surface regularly with a soft brush and
occasionally follow up with a wipe over with a wet cloth.
A sealer has been applied to the concrete surface, no
cleaning agents nor polishes should be used. In case
of an accidental spill, soak up the liquid
IMMEDIATELY
with a dry cloth and follow up with a wipe down with a
wet cloth.
Logs and burner
Dust can be brushed from the ceramic logs and
fi
rebox
walls after removing the front unit and opening the win-
dow. Dust can also be removed from the burner using
a soft brush after removing the ceramic logs. When
cleaning, make sure that no particles are brushed into
the slots of the burner.
Checking Pilot and Burner Flames
A periodic check of the pilot and burner
fl
ames should
be made. Check after the
fi
re has been on for at least
30 minutes. The pilot
fl
ame must cover the tip of the
thermocouple probe. The main burner
fl
ame pattern will
vary from appliance to appliance depending on the type
of installation and climatic conditions.

DO NOT TOUCH THE STOVE WHILE IT IS
HOT!
Let the stove cool first before cleaning it.
WARNING
FOR SAFETY PURPOSE, ensure the barrier
screen is re-installed on the stove front after
maintenance.

IMPORTANT:
To ensure a safe operation, verify
that the bolts are hooked properly to the window
tabs; then, pull out the top of the window and
release it to insure the springs return it.
