The M
IDAS
ECM is technically capable of supporting other sensor types, such as Turbidity,
Dissolved Oxygen, Fluorometer, Altimeter etc. Such sensors require additional user atten-
tion, such as control of output gain or regular calibration
M
IDAS
ECM units fitted with such sensors are, therefore, not compatible with DataLog Ex-
press software and users should run DataLog 400 or DataLog Pro software instead.
The EM Current meter sensor is rated to 5000m. In order to operate to a depth of 5000m, a
6000m (600 Bar) rated pressure sensor is fitted.
The maximum operational depth of the Titanium housed instrument is 5000m.
The maximum operational depth of the Acetal housed instrument is 500m
if you see an instrument engraved as shown in the pic-
ture to the right, this is a reference to the pressure sen-
sor, not the instrument
– be careful! The instrument is
rated to 5000m (500bar).
