INSTALLATION
Mounting
The VL530-IC message display must be mounted
with appropriate hardware (not included).
It is recommended to secure the mounting brackets
to wall studs or other appropriate support. If
necessary, the spacing of the mounting brackets on
the back of the message display may be adjusted to
match stud spacing. Loosen the nuts that attach
the brackets to the display panel. Slide the
mounting bracket to the desired position and
retighten the nuts.
Remove the angle adjustment screws and nuts
from the mounting bracket to gain access to the
"keyhole" slots. (Figure 1)
Mark the mounting holes on the wall and install
appropriate hardware. For stud walls, a minimum
#10 x 2" screw is recommended. (Figure 2)
Reinstall the angle adjustment screws and nuts
previously removed.
Hang the message display by the "keyhole" slots.
(Figure 2)
Secure the message display brackets to the wall
with another screw at the top of each mounting
bracket. (Figure 3)
Network Connection / Power
The VL530-IC has one RJ-45 network connector on
the rear panel. Connect a standard patch cable to
the VL530-IC from an Ethernet switch supporting
the Power over Ethernet Plus specification 802.3at
(PoE+). If a PoE+ switch is not available, a mid-
span injector may be used to supply power to the
display.
Setup
The VL530-IC will automatically acquire an IP
address (using DHCP) and connect to the
InformaCast server when connected to the network
and powered up. Information specific to your
application will need to be programmed into the
InformaCast server. Refer to the InformaCast
documentation for further information.
