AMPLIFIER
This equipment generates, uses and can
radiate radio frequency energy and if not
installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications.
Operation of this equipment in a residential
area may cause harmful interference in which
case the user will be required to correct the
interference at his own expense.
Mounting
Install the SM-VC in a standard single-gang
electrical box. Ensure electrical box is rigidly
secured to wall using structural support or
clamps, anchors, or fittings identified for the
application.
(See Figure 2).
Connections
Connect the Orange, Yellow and Green wires
from the SM-VC to the Remote Volume Control
connection on the Amplifier.
(See Figure 1).
Orange connects to the V+
Yellow connects to the R
Green connects to the V-
Standard 24 gauge CAT5 UTP wire may be used
between the amplifier and the SM-VC, up to a
maximum of 1000 feet.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
When trouble is reported, verify there are no
broken connections. If a spare unit is available,
substitute a spare unit for the suspected
defective unit.

Valcom equipment is not field repairable.
