The MI70 indicator will not turn on.
-
The battery pack is empty. Connect the charger.
-
The battery pack is not present. Install and charge the
battery pack.
-
You are using AA batteries, and they are empty. Replace
the batteries.
The message "Switch off power and
connect probe." appears on the MI70
display when turning it on.
-
Measurement instruments not connected. Turn off MI70
and connect PTB330 and/or HMP155.
-
Loose cable connection. Turn off MI70 and tighten the
connectors.
-
Incorrect cable. Check that you are using the spiral cable
223235SP between MI70 and PTB330, and cable 221801
between MI70 and HMP155.
-
Incorrect PTB330 user port settings. Restore the correct
settings via the service port; for instructions, see section
User Port Serial Settings on page 74
.
The MI70 powers off by itself.
-
The Auto Power Off feature is enabled, and shuts down
the MI70 (and connected instruments) after 15 or 30
minutes of no user input. You can turn off this feature from
the
Settings - User interface
menu if you want to.
-
The battery of the MI70 has run out. There have probably
been several "Battery almost empty." messages on the
display already. Recharge the battery or change the non-
chargeable batteries (if used).
The HMP155 is measuring clearly
incorrect humidity readings.
-
It is possible that condensation has formed on the sensor.
Activate the chemical purge function to dry it.
-
There may be a temperature difference between the
HMP155 and the measurement environment. Let the
temperature stabilize. If you have the additional
temperature probe, make sure it is placed close to the
HMP155 probe.
-
The HMP155 may be in need of adjustment. Perform the
procedure in section
Measurement reading on the MI70
display shows dashes "----" instead
of measured values.
-
You have selected P
3h
(pressure trend and tendency) as
one of the measured quantities. It will take three hours for
the barometer to produce a reading; until then, dashes
are shown. Wait patiently, and make sure the Auto Power
Off feature is disabled in the
Settings - User interface
menu.
-
The measurement instrument has been disconnected.
Turn off the MI70 and reconnect it. Do not connect cables
while the MI70 is on.
