Bleeding the accumulator and hydraulic pressure be-
fore servicing the hydraulic system
The implement must be connected to a tractor, folded out into working position and resting on a
flat and stable surface.
Make sure that the machine's working area is clear so that no-one is under or in the vicinity of the
machine whilst its hydraulics are operated in accordance with the points set out below.
!
When dismantling hydraulic hoses connected to hydraulic cylinders, the coupling at the hy-
draulic block should be disconnected first.
!
Make sure that you are familiar with how your tractor's hydraulic system functions.
4.9.1
Purging hydraulic pressure in wing folding hydraulic cylinders
1 Start folding the wing sections until their outer edges become slightly raised (5 cm).
2 Place the hydraulic control that controls the outlet connected to the machine's wing folding
mechanism (hoses marked red) in move position.
NOTE!
The wing folding hydraulics feature a non-return valve and accumulator tank, which may
cause a significant build up of oil pressure. Dismantle the hydraulics with care.
4.9.2
Purging hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic system for setting disc front tool
1 Adjust the working depth of the discs so that the front section of the implement is slightly
raised (5 cm).
2 Place the hydraulic control that controls the outlet connected to the machine's disc front tool
(hoses marked blue) in move position.
NOTE!
The disc front tool's hydraulics contain a non-return valve, which may cause increased oil
pressure. Dismantle the hydraulics with care.
4.10 Bleeding the folding hydraulic systems
The hydraulic system must always be bled after any work is carried out on it.
NOTE!
Make sure there is nobody in the immediate work area of the machine.
Operate the wing folding rams to their end and inner stops a couple of times until all air has been
evacuated from the hydraulic systems.
4.11 Bleeding the hydraulic system to set disc front tool
When bleeding the hydraulic system, it is not necessary to undo any couplings, just use the tractor
hydraulics instead.
!
Press out the cylinders to their end positions by fully lifting the discs. Keep the tractor's hy-
draulic lever in position so that oil is continuously pressed into the rams (for approx. 10-15 sec-
onds during daily bleeding; approx. 1-2 minutes following service on the hydraulic system).
When the first ram has been filled completely, oil will continue to flow into the next ram via
the overflow channel, and so on. Also see
