Preface to the calculation
The costs which are calculated for the appliance are based on the operating costs of the
washing machine or tumble dryer connected. The operating costs comprise the costs of
the electricity and water consumed as well as of any service subscription.
Example calculation for a washing machine with an 8 kg load capacity
The values indicated below are average values. These can vary (depending on
local electricity tariffs and water rates as well as subscription costs) greatly.
Basis: Coloureds 60 °C without a pre-wash

In the absence of any individual components of the calculation, we recommend a
charge of CHF 1.00 per hour for washing and CHF 1.20 per hour for drying.

The calculation should be based on the example of the most frequently used pro-
gramme and carried out separately for each appliance. Ideally, select the main pro-
gramme «Coloureds 60 °C» without a pre-wash for the washing machine and the
«Standard dry» programme for the tumble dryer.
