The appliance is equipped with a mains cable that should be connected to a distribution box by the customer. The mains cable may not
be replaced for thermo-technical reasons. If an oven is installed directly underneath, it is recommended that the distribution box be
positioned behind the plinth. The supply cable can be routed through a cut-out that may be made in the back panel.
Electrical connections
Electrical connections must be carried out by qualified experts in accordance with the regulations for low voltage in-
stallations (NIN) and the specifications of the local electricity supply companies.
An all-pole mains isolating device with 3 mm contact opening should be provided in the house wiring system. Swit-
ches, plug and socket devices, circuit breakers and fusible cut-outs which are accessible after installation and which
have all-poles switching are permissible as isolating devices.
Effective earthing and separately installed neutral and earth conductors (Schema TN-S) ensure safe and fault-free op-
eration. Check old installations.

Installation
The distance from the appliance cut-out to flammable walls (left, right and rear) must be at least 50 mm. Parts such as
side walls, reinforcing strips which protrude into the installation space under the cooking zone must be made of non-
flammable materials.
The distance between the underside of the appliance tray and any part of the cabinet beneath that is made of flamma-
ble material must be at least 20 mm. If a drawer is installed directly underneath – and if the tray can be reached from
below without the aid of tools – the thermal shielding plate set (see «Accessories») must be used. See J40270 for the
