4.2 Metal grease filter with integrated Long-life activated
charcoal filter
The filters can be cleaned and reactivated (activated charcoal filters). They
must be cleaned at least once a month with normal use.
Cleaning the grease filter and the activated charcoal filter
The filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher at 65 °C (intensive programme).
The filters can otherwise be left to soak in the sink for an hour at 60 °C using
water and standard washing-up liquid. Rinse well afterwards.
Drying/reactivate the activated charcoal filter
To reactivate the activated charcoal, the activated charcoal filter has to be
dried in the oven.

Select top/bottom heat or hot air at 100 °C and leave the activated
charcoal filter to dry on the wire shelf for at least 60 minutes.
The activated charcoal filters must be replaced after about 3 years
because their ability to absorb smells will be reduced. The dirty
activated charcoal filters can be disposed of in the household waste.
Cleaning may cause the grease filters to become discoloured.
However, this will not affect the functioning of the filters in any way.
