Hygiene recommendation
It is common nowadays to select programmes with temperatures below
60 °C in order to save energy. These achieve perfectly good results with light-
ly soiled everyday washing. Washing almost exclusively with low tempera-
tures will result in the formation of foul smelling coatings in the appliance. To
avoid this a «hygiene recommendation»
appears when it is recom-
mended for hygiene reasons to carry out a wash with at least 60 °C.
Switching hygiene recommendation on / off

Hold the button depressed for 5 seconds.
– The digital display shows .
A Press the button repeatedly until the current setting shows in the digital
display, e.g.: for hygiene recommendation ON.
A Press the button repeatedly until the desired setting shows in the dig-
ital display, e.g.: for hygiene recommendation OFF.
– The setting is taken over automatically and must not be confirmed.
A Press the button repeatedly until the digital display goes out.
