Choose a suitable location to mount the G9 Controller
•
Carefully choose a location inside the vendor door or cabinet to mount the G9
Controller. Make sure the G9 MDB, DEX and Serial cables will be able to reach their
connection points to the vendor MDB cables, DEX port and the Card Reader cable.
Make sure the cabling is not going to get pinched by or interfere with moving parts
in the vendor.

Also make sure you will be able to see the service buttons and LEDs on the G9
Controller and manipulate the “Service” – “Fill/DEX” – “END” and signal test
buttons when needed. You will also need to access the “Hand Held DEX”
receptacle if you use hand held DEX devices on your equipment.

When locating the antenna, avoid positioning it near the vendor control board.
•
Locate the antenna on top of the vendor door or cabinet if possible. If you need to
locate the antenna inside the vendor, try to position it directly behind the Lexxan
or glass front . Do not locate the antenna where it will be surrounded on all sides
by metal as this will greatly reduce signal quality.
•
DO NOT coil the antenna wire. This will also reduce signal quality. This wire should
be stretched out as best possible and secured so it will not be pinched or cut.
